Our Category Management team provides dedicated category management support. By leveraging market and category/ retailer-specific data as well as in-depth consumer insights, our category management group delivers insights and analysis to support the objectives of our retailer and supplier partners. Summit Sales & Marketing, Inc.’s distinctive ability to successfully forecast and plan is an integral function of sales, sustaining many other important links in the supply chain. Working with corporate customer service and account planners, Summit utilizes its forecasting and analytical skills to help manage order flow, shipping and product availability. We create and maintain forecasts and in-depth forecast information that drives production, planning and purchases. At Summit Sales & Marketing, Inc. we analyze retail sell-through performance and inventory levels to make purchase recommendations, track industry trends and identify opportunities. We also analyze sales data for use in establishing targets for forecast accuracy, inventory turns, inventory obsolescence. Additionally, we monitor sales results to ensure targets are met or exceeded, reconciling sales plan forecasts to actual sales.
